Ventus at Marina El Cid Review: An Affordable All-Inclusive Mexico Vacation

We traveled to Mexico, and it ended up being one of the best travel deals we have ever booked. I found this trip through Costco Travel, and honestly, it was a screaming deal.

All in, we spent around $1,000 for two people. That included our flights, our all-inclusive resort stay, and transportation to and from the airport in Mexico.

I don't know if you understand how insane that price is. Around $500 per person for flights, a resort, food, drinks, and transportation!

We stayed for four nights and five days, and I purposely booked flights that got us there early and brought us home late so we could make the most of our trip.

We also traveled during hurricane season, which helped us get a much lower rate.

If you are looking for an affordable all-inclusive Mexico vacation, this was one of the best values we have found.

Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort Review

Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort was the resort we stayed at, and it completely exceeded our expectations.

One thing I didn't realize when booking was that Ventus is connected with the larger Marina El Cid resort, meaning guests have access to even more restaurants, pools, and amenities than what is initially shown on the website.

This resort is massive. It has beautiful pools, multiple dining options, relaxing beach areas, and adults-only spaces if you are looking for a quieter vacation.

The resort felt like it offered a little bit of everything, whether you wanted to relax by the pool, enjoy the beach, eat amazing food, or take advantage of the activities available.

Is Ventus at Marina El Cid Family Friendly?

If you are traveling with kids, this resort is a fantastic option. They had childcare included with the higher tier of their all-inclusive package, which we booked.

The kids' program included fun activities and even opportunities to learn Spanish. From what we saw, the kids were having an absolute blast.

The resort also offered an even higher level of all-inclusive that included butler service, but for us, that was not necessary and wasn't in our budget. The package we chose already gave us everything we needed.

Food at Ventus at Marina El Cid

The food options at this resort were one of my favorite parts.

Dinner restaurants required reservations, but there was no additional cost. The variety was impressive, and I loved that there were so many different options.

Whenever I travel, I always try to eat local food because authentic Mexican cuisine is one of my favorites. The resort had plenty of Mexican dishes, and they did not disappoint.

Between the restaurants, bars, and included dining options, we never felt like we were running out of things to try.

Traveling During Hurricane Season and the Pandemic

We traveled during the pandemic, and the resort took cleanliness and safety extremely seriously.

The resort provided COVID testing for guests, and we were scheduled for our return test when we arrived. There was sanitizer everywhere, including stations to sanitize shoes before entering restaurants.

Temperatures were checked before entering the resort, and the entire property felt extremely clean and well maintained.

Housekeeping also came through our room multiple times a day to clean, disinfect, and refresh everything. It was honestly more than we expected, but we appreciated all the effort they put into keeping guests safe.

Best Perks of Ventus at Marina El Cid

One of my favorite parts of this resort was easily the drinks.

The bartenders made some incredible cocktails, and of course, I had to try as many colorful drinks as possible. They were all delicious.

A little travel tip: tip your bartenders and wait staff. We noticed that giving a tip resulted in faster service and even more personalized drinks.

Tipping is something I always recommend when traveling internationally unless the country or resort specifically says it is not allowed.

I highly recommend Ventus at Marina El Cid for anyone looking for an affordable all-inclusive resort in Mexico.

Between the incredible value, amazing food options, beautiful pools, and excellent service, this resort gave us so much for our money.

Finding a Mexico vacation that includes flights, transportation, food, drinks, and accommodations for around $500 per person is rare, and this trip was definitely one we will always remember.
