About Seven Seas and Winter Trees
The World through My Eyes
Hi, I'm Margaux, the creator behind Seven Seas and Winter Trees.
I've always believed that life is meant to be explored. Whether that means skiing down a new mountain, wandering through a national park, taking a spontaneous road trip, or checking into a hotel I've been excited to try, I'm happiest when I'm discovering somewhere new.
What started as a place to document my adventures has grown into a travel blog dedicated to helping others plan memorable trips of their own. Here you'll find destination guides, hotel reviews, ski travel tips, road trip inspiration, and honest experiences from my travels across the United States and beyond.
One of my biggest passions is skiing. I'm a PSIA-certified ski instructor and spend as much time as possible chasing snow during the winter months. When ski season ends, you'll usually find me hiking, paddleboarding, exploring small towns, or planning my next getaway. If there's an adventure to be had, chances are I'm interested.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), but I've always believed some of the best lessons happen outside of a classroom. Travel has taught me flexibility, curiosity, confidence, and the value of stepping outside my comfort zone. It's also given me some incredible stories and more than a few unexpected detours.
When I'm not traveling, I'm usually at home with my husband and our four cats, working on my next blog post, reading, or researching destinations I want to visit in the future. I'm the kind of person who has a dozen trip ideas saved at any given time and probably already has a rough itinerary planned for places I haven't even booked yet.
My goal with Seven Seas and Winter Trees is to share honest travel experiences, practical advice, and inspiration for anyone looking to explore a little more. Whether you're planning a ski trip, a national park adventure, a weekend getaway, or a cross-country road trip, I hope you'll find something here that helps you make your next journey unforgettable.
Thanks for being here. I'm so glad you stopped by.
