Avacado Fries Recipe
Mouth Watering Take on Fries
From having Avocado Fries in Chengdu, I knew that I had to find a way to make them at home. I came up with this Avocado Fries Recipe through trial and error. I would say that this takes a few tries to cut the avacodo correctly. Once you have the slicling down; they rest is really easy. World Exploration at your taste buds!
The Recipe
Ingredients
3 Good sized avocado, the length will be the size of your fries
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of Himalayan pink salt
1/2 cup of flour, any kind you want
3/4 cup of oat milk, or your preference
1 1/4 cup of Paleo breadcrumbs, or your preference
Let's Get Cooking
I like to bake mine in the air fryer for the extra crispiness, but you can do it in an oven too.
Cut your avocado into slices that are about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Combine Flour, Garlic Powder, and Himalayan pink salt in a bowl. Prepare two different bowls one with your milk and the other with your breadcrumbs. This gives you a little assembly line for the process. Dip each of your avocado slices into the flour, then milk, then bread crumbs. Place them into the air fryer basket or your baking sheet as you go.
*press the bread crumbs in so they stay better
Air- Fryer
Set the temperature to 380 degrees F with your fries in the basket. Fry for 12-17 mins. Keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
Enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce.
Oven
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. Line up your slices on the baking sheet and place them on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Check on them to see if they are the doneness that you desire.
Enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce.
