Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Jamaican Jerk Chicken


  • 4 pounds of chicken breast

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 2 tsp allspice

  • 1 tbs thyme

  • 4 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tbs molasses

  • 1/2 inch of sliced ginger

  • 10 scallions, chopped 

  • 1/4 cup of avocado oil

  • 2 habaneros, leave in seeds and steams for extra heat​

You will need a slow cooker for this recipe.

Step 1

Place seasonings, oil, molasses, garlic, scallions, and habaneros in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

Step 2

Coat the bottom of your slow cooker with oil to prevent sticking. Use 1/2 cup of your processed mixture into the prepared slow cooker. Add your chicken on top. Use the remaining mixture to coat the chicken evenly.

Cook on low for 5-6 hours until chicken is tender.

Step 3

Serve with lime and/or rice.
