Relax at Old Town Hot Springs

One of the first places I headed to was Old Town Hot Springs. This historic spot is more than just a pool; it’s a place where locals and visitors alike come to unwind after a day of skiing or exploring. The warm mineral waters feel incredible, especially after hiking or skiing nearby. The facility offers several pools and tubs, and even a water slide if you’re traveling with family. They also offer massages, where you can truly relax.

What makes Old Town Hot Springs stand out among Steamboat Springs attractions is its blend of relaxation and fun. You can soak in the therapeutic waters while enjoying mountain views, or take a swim in the lap pool if you want some exercise. It’s a perfect way to recharge and experience a local favorite.

Savor Bison Tacos at Salt + Lime Restaurant

Food is a huge part of travel for me, and Steamboat Springs restaurants did not disappoint. Salt + Lime quickly became a must-visit spot. Their bison tacos are a standout dish that I still think about. The meat is tender and flavorful, paired with fresh toppings and a perfectly spiced sauce. It’s a great example of how this town blends traditional Western flavors with modern culinary twists. Their attention to detail when it comes to allergies truly puts this place on my list of reccomendations.

Salt + Lime also offers a lively atmosphere that makes it a great place to gather with friends or family. If you’re looking for authentic local flavors, this restaurant is a top pick in the Steamboat Springs travel guide.

Discover Unique Flavors at Elevated Olive

One of the more unexpected gems I found was Elevated Olive. This shop specializes in unique olive oils and vinegars that you won’t find in your average grocery store. Sampling their products felt like a mini tasting adventure. I loved trying flavors infused with herbs, fruits, and spices that added a new dimension to cooking.

Elevated Olive is a perfect stop for anyone interested in Steamboat Springs shopping with a twist. You can pick up bottles to take home or gifts for friends who appreciate gourmet food. It’s a small but memorable part of Steamboat Springs local spots that food lovers should not miss.

Find Your Perfect Cowboy Boots at Steamboat Hatter

No visit to Steamboat Springs Colorado feels complete without embracing a bit of the cowboy culture. Steamboat Hatter is the place to do just that. This shop offers a wide selection of cowboy boots and hats, from classic styles to more modern designs.

Trying on boots here was a fun experience. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate about Western wear, helping me find a pair that fit perfectly. Whether you want to buy a souvenir or gear up for a Western-themed event, Steamboat Hatter is a key stop in the Steamboat Springs shopping scene.

Indulge Your Sweet Tooth at Fuzzwigs Candy Factory

If you have a sweet tooth, Fuzzwigs Candy Factory is a must-see. Walking into the shop feels like stepping back in time with its old-fashioned candy jars and colorful displays. They offer everything from handmade chocolates to nostalgic treats that bring back childhood memories.

I enjoyed sampling a few pieces and picking out some unique candies to take home. This spot adds a playful and delicious touch to your Steamboat Springs sightseeing itinerary, especially if you’re traveling with kids or just want a sweet break.

Play Classic Games at Steamboat Fun and Games

For a bit of old-school fun, Steamboat Fun and Games is a fantastic place to visit. This arcade and board game shop offers a mix of classic and modern games that bring out the kid in everyone. I spent a couple of hours here playing games and browsing through shelves of board games. It is also a perfect spot to spend time if you have children!

It’s a great way to connect with locals and other travelers while enjoying some lighthearted entertainment. This spot stands out among Steamboat Springs activities for its nostalgic vibe and friendly atmosphere.

Enjoy a Cup of Coffee at Big Iron Coffee

No travel day feels complete without a good cup of coffee, and Big Iron Coffee delivers just that. This cozy café serves delicious coffee made from carefully selected beans. The baristas take pride in their craft, and it shows in every cup.

I found Big Iron Coffee to be a perfect place to relax, plan my next adventure, or simply read a good book. It’s a staple among Steamboat Springs local spots for coffee lovers and a great way to start your day exploring downtown.
